I’m an Australian self taught artist, I commenced painting when I was 61.
My works are also listed on other Australian online galleries, and I must offer my works here at the same price as them.
But here’s what I can do when you buy direct from me.
My works are sold mostly unframed, and the others offer framing through an association with frame shops. They get their bit from them too.
So when you buy from me, I’ll do the framing myself.
When you purchase, also use the contact me page to request framing.
I’ll make a floating frame from Tasmanian Oak, and double varnish the beautiful timber so it will be a delight in your home.
And it will be included in the price.
If I offered this through the online galleries, I’d have to adjust my prices and also allow for the extra commission that they would charge..
I prefer to make the frame only when sold because of storage. A framed work is deeper than an unframed one and it could also suffer damage in storage,
It will add a few extra days from when you purchase as I don’t stock timber, and making and varnishing takes time.
