Ships entering Sydney Harbour from the ocean, and heading towards the city have two deep water channels either side of a reef called the Sow and pigs. To help Navigation two wooden Structures were build to hold guiding lights. These are the eastern and Western Channel Pile lights, also know as wedding cake lights.
