This is an Ink and Acrylic painting on 220gsm Hahnemuhle acid free art paper.
This painting is inspired by the coastal range between Wooli and Grafton on the North Coast of NSW.
The road was steep for the cars post second war, but at the bottom of the hill in a little deep valley was a remnant rain forest populated with Bangalow Palms.
As a small child Id eagerly wait to catch a glimpse of these wonderful palms amongst the trees as we returned home from Grafton.
Sitting in the back of the car looking out of the side window Id just catch a fleeting glimpse as we went around the corner trying to get up speed for the hill.
